# Deactivating

## Deactivating

#### A subnet can be automatically deactivated under the following conditions:

* The minimum subnet delegate stake balance is not met on any given epoch (see [Requirements](#requirements)).
* The minimum required subnet nodes are not met on any given epoch (see [Requirements](#requirements)).

A subnet can also be deactivated by the [subnet owner](/network/subnet-owner.md) at any time.
